Travelling

Sunday morning during the Pune monsoon season. Planned for a day outing to a few places around. We started from home at around 9:30am headed towards World peace dome in the MIT campus located in Loni Kalbhor area. The traffic was pretty smooth , reaching the destination by 11am. They have an entry fee of ₹100 per adult and ₹50 per child. The infrastructure is beautifully maintained. It comprises of the main dome which has statues of many renowned personalities from around the world spanning varied eras, a library comprising of books (not many though) and highlights about a lot of famous personalities, a meditation hall (which was not easy to figure out) and a Geeta bhavan which has a life size statue of the chariot along with Krishna and Arjuna. It also has description of some important concepts from each religion. Yes, though it is called Geeta bhavan, it does have details on all religions. The lawns were nicely maintained to sit,  click pictures, etc. At 1pm we exited...

Travelling is always fun - be it alone, with a partner or in a group. Travelling takes you places, sometimes known and sometimes unknown. A travel enthusiast has great chances of discovering new places while travelling to old or known destinations. Every travel journey has a story to cherish. You get new experiences, new cuisines, new people, new traditions and scenic beauty, time to cherish the wonders nature has endowed us with. I personally love travelling. I have travelled to a lot of places both domestic and international, sometimes for work and majorly for pleasure. Every trip has given me new experiences. Some were solo trips that included business trips, treks, visit to national parks others were adventure trips on bike, trips to historical places and forts of Maharashtra, the temples , Konkan qregion.
