Travelling

Summer vacations are here again and the environment is a bit tensed due to the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan. After over a week of uncertainty on being able to go for vacation, thought of going out for a short trip to Lonavala. Lonavala is around 60kms from home. We started by 6 in the morning. The roads being vacant we reached tiger point around 7:30 am. This is not the season to visit Lonavala, so it wasn't crowded but still enough people for the weekend considering off season. Different stall vendors were helping their customers with tables and chairs at the view point as per their convenient location. There's a hut at the view point, we got our table setup there. The view was nice, sun was shining bright and it was mother's day too. Kids had planned a surprise cake cutting  which they had bought along supported by their dad. We reached Alleppey around 2pm. 2 men came to pick up our luggage from the taxi and loaded onto the house boat. One by one they helped us board the boat and we were made to sit on the chairs near the deck of the boat. The dining table had fruits, water bottles and glasses kept on it. There was a standing fan which was cooling us a bit and in a few minutes we started sailing through the back waters of Alleppey. The bedroom was well maintained and the washroom was clean though it was quite congested. The view was amazingly beautiful. It was very very hard to take our eyes off. We clicked a lot of pictures of the coconut trees, the greenery, nature,house boats, boats of local villagers and everything possible throughout our stay on the houseboat. A new spot near Hinjewadi, around 3 kms from life republic and 18 kms from pimple Saudagar. This is kasarsai dam. Boating club, restaurant, clean washrooms, parking space and a tapri all integrated. The roads are clean and well maintained except for some 2-3 kms that are rough. The place is good, provides a nice motor boat experience (₹70 per person), speed boat is also available. The view is beautiful, has a few swans and other birds flying and swimming around. The sunset is beautiful. You get an opportunity to click loads of pictures of yourself, the sunset and nature as you like. The in-house restaurant is clean, though not aware of their spread and pricing.
