Weekend outing (World peace dome - Ramdara Temple - Theur Ganpati - Gurudwara)

Sunday morning during the Pune monsoon season. Planned for a day outing to a few places around.
We started from home at around 9:30am headed towards World peace dome in the MIT campus located in Loni Kalbhor area. The traffic was pretty smooth , reaching the destination by 11am. They have an entry fee of ₹100 per adult and ₹50 per child. The infrastructure is beautifully maintained. It comprises of the main dome which has statues of many renowned personalities from around the world spanning varied eras, a library comprising of books (not many though) and highlights about a lot of famous personalities, a meditation hall (which was not easy to figure out) and a Geeta bhavan which has a life size statue of the chariot along with Krishna and Arjuna. It also has description of some important concepts from each religion. Yes, though it is called Geeta bhavan, it does have details on all religions. The lawns were nicely maintained to sit,  click pictures, etc.

At 1pm we exited the world peace dome and headed towards Ramdara temple which was a 15mins drive. There was a half an hour long queue there for the darshan. It a Shiv Parvati temple built in the Ramdara lake. You won't need to swim or boat to visit the temple 😂
They have a proper walkway to the temple.
We sat in the premises for a few minutes to absorb the calm and then started back. Had sugarcane juice at the shops outside the temple. It was drizzling making the weather sultry.
Around 2:20pm we headed towards Theur Ganpati also called Chintamani Ganpati. This is one of the ashtavinayak temples located in various parts of Maharashtra. The queue was long, took an hour for the darshan.
Post the darshan of theur Ganpati, we headed next towards Gurudwara Guru Nanak Darbar in Pune Camp (M.G. Road). Took a break at Vrindavan restaurant on the way for lunch. It wasn't lunch time, but glad they were serving. The food was good. From there we reached the Gurudwara by 6:20pm.
Parking is on the roadside. Shoes are managed in tokened racks by individuals doing seva. Covering heads is mandatory inside the premises. In case you aren't carrying a handkerchief/bandana/dupatta, you can get one near the shoe rack. After the necessary pre-requisites once you are inside, Gurudwaras are a great place for some calmness. The darbar is beautiful. The kada parshad delicious and the hot chai on a rainy day was the cherry on the top.
After an amazing weekend outing, we got back home navigating through some traffic and memories in the heart being out down in words!!! 😊
