Lonavala day trip


Summer vacations are here again and the environment is a bit tensed due to the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan.
After over a week of uncertainty on being able to go for vacation, thought of going out for a short trip to Lonavala.

Lonavala is around 60kms from home. We started by 6 in the morning. The roads being vacant we reached tiger point around 7:30 am.
This is not the season to visit Lonavala, so it wasn't crowded but still enough people for the weekend considering off season. Different stall vendors were helping their customers with tables and chairs at the view point as per their convenient location.
There's a hut at the view point, we got our table setup there. The view was nice, sun was shining bright and it was mother's day too.
Kids had planned a surprise cake cutting  which they had bought along supported by their dad. We cut the cake there and ordered some snacks. Clicked some pictures and started off for Narayanidham temple. It is a beautifully built temple of Lord Ganesha , mata rani and salasar Hanuman ji. The dham houses rooms , fountains, parking, shoe store and a kids play area as well. We spent quite some time in the prayer hall of the temple. The place had very soothing vibes.  
We then wanted to return home, but the kids wanted some more fun. Decided to go to elpro mall in Chinchwad. Games at amoeba, food and finally back home.

This is how a morning outing planned for 4 hours turned into a day long outing 😀

Japalouppe & Imagicaa Snow world

Diwali season and friends visiting over. One such night while having conversations on varied topics , plan of visiting Japalouppe took shape. Japalouppe is an equestrian centre on the old Mumbai Pune Highway just before the toll plaza. They have horse riding training centre and a pet farm. We started from our home in pimple saurldagar at around 8:10am to reach Japalouppe by 8:45am on a Sunday morning. The tickets were booked online  in advance for the 9am tour. They have tours at different time slots throughout the day, choose the one that suits you best.  We got wrist bands from the reception which are mandatory for the entry. Someone from the crew escorted us to the breakfast area. They had a good variety of options ranging from bread butter, cheese sandwich to pav bhaji ,dhokla to pizza , pasta waffles and tea, coffee in beverages. Pune - Ahmedabad

This will be a day wise series of the Gujarat Trip planned in the month of December.  The days will then be merged for the final blog.
