Dnyaneshwar Samadhi Temple, Alandi


Saint Dnyaneshwar took Samadhi(entombment) on the banks of river Indrayni. That samadhi is housed within the Dnyaneshwar Samadhi Temple at Alandi now.
We started from home around 5pm on a Saturday. It was a 15km drive with some narrower streets to navigate. There's a parking space available where we parked our car and then proceeded towards the temple which was a short walk. 
We joined the queue. The queue was well disciplined and was continuously moving. Being a weekend there was quite some rush. It took us around 45mins for the darshan. The sanctum has the samadhi of Saint Dnyaneshwar and idols of Vitthal-Rukmini. We took a round of the temple area and then sat for a while. My younger one was fascinated with the premise, taking it to be a cave and hence demanded to sit in the cave 😇.

We then started back and reached home by 8pm.

Lonavala day trip

Summer vacations are here again and the environment is a bit tensed due to the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan. After over a week of uncertainty on being able to go for vacation, thought of going out for a short trip to Lonavala. Lonavala is around 60kms from home. We started by 6 in the morning. The roads being vacant we reached tiger point around 7:30 am. This is not the season to visit Lonavala, so it wasn't crowded but still enough people for the weekend considering off season. Different stall vendors were helping their customers with tables and chairs at the view point as per their convenient location. There's a hut at the view point, we got our table setup there. Wedding travel to Aurangabad

My bestie finally decided to get married which got finalized to take place in Aurangabad (recently named to Chhatrapati Shambhaji Nagar) - a city in India's Maharashtra. We started from Pune at 2:15am , via the nagar road to reach the booked accommodation in Aurangabad at 7am. My other friend had already arrived the previous night with her parents and had checked-in. We were meeting each other after almost 6 years. It was such an awesome feeling to meet her early in the morning. Uncle aunty were still sleepy from the previous night. We woke them up, greeted them and then went on to prepare the morning tea. The accomodation was a 3bhk spacious built-up floor. We had our tea in the dining area and caught up on a lot of things.
